From our Government Affairs Director, Katy King:

On a call with Governor Brown yesterday, she asked about how emergency physicians were doing and OR-ACEP said PPE was a major issue. She said as of today, we were in good shape because of the recent allotment from the federal stockpile. They are also collecting PPE.

Monday’s stockpile delivery included an estimated 87,000 procedural masks, almost 9,000 gowns and 14,000 gloves with the rest on the way. Along with the 10% that was already received, this means that Oregon has received 25% of what was requested.
The governor said Oregon producers are waiting for approval from the FDA to manufacture PPE but that process is underway.

They will do everything possible to get PPE to healthcare workers and she’s incredibly grateful for the job you are doing.
