34th Oregon ACEP Winter Conference

January 29th - February 1st, 2017

The Annual Winter Conference at Sunriver is going into its 34th year and represents a high-yield, up-to-date educational forum for Emergency Providers. Our goal is to provide an opportunity to improve your practice today. Emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and pre-hospital providers will all find excellent educational opportunities in the form of lectures and hands-on labs.

This year we have assembled agroup of local and national experts presenting information on current issues affecting all Emergency Providers on a daily basis. All of this takes place in the picturesque back drop of Sunriver with its many winter excursion activities only minutes away. The conference is open to everyone in Emergency Medicine: Physicians, RNs, PAs, Residents, Med Students and even Paramedics - discounts are available to help non-physicians attend the conference.

Continuing Medical Education

Earn CME  - up to 22.5 credits.  Credits are issued by Providence Portland Medical Center under the terms given below.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Providence Health & Services – Oregon Region and the Oregon Chapter, American College of Emergency Physicians. Ultrasound Day – OCEP is pleased to present an Emergency Ultrasound course featuring Drs. Robert Reardon of Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.  Dr. Reardon is ultrasound fellowship director at HCMC, has published numerous articles on point-of-care US in the Emergency Department and is one of the principle authors of the Ma & Mateer textbook of Emergency Ultrasound.

The course will feature a combination of lectures as well as hands-on instruction.  There will be a guaranteed instructor to learner ratio of 1:4.

  • Ultrasound in shock
  • Advanced ECHO
  • Extended-FAST
  • Lungs
  • Gallbladder
  • Renal
  • IV access

Airway Day OCEP is pleased to present an airway course featuring Dr. Robert Reardon of Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Reardon has been practicing Emergency Medicine for 20 years, is author of numerous original articles and textbook chapters on emergency airway management and is faculty for the Difficult Airway Course.

The course will feature a combination of lectures as well as hands-on instruction. There will be a guaranteed instructor to learner ratio of 1:4.

Airway techniques to be covered include:

  • Videolaryngoscopy
  • Fiberoptic intubation
  • Cricothyrotomy
  • Supraglottic devices
  • Non-invasive positive pressure ventilation

Members

Oregon ACEP members receive a $110 discount on the conference and $100 off the Ultrasound and Airway clinics. To receive the discount you MUST follow the link emailed to you.

ED Staff

Work in Emergency Medicine? Nurses, PAs, NPs and Paramedics can attend the conference for just $400 ($245 discount) and either clinic for $325 or both for $500.

Residents

Residents can soak up all the conference sessions for just $125.  Residents can't pre-register for the special clinics.

Students

Medical Students can attend for just $100. Students can't pre-register for the special clinics.
